Code & Chaos Privacy Policy
Code & Chaos is a puzzle game operated by BARNEUM LLC. This section covers the game on iPhone and iPad, including device saves, iCloud progress synchronization, purchases and optional contact with support. It is separate from the policies for Cue and Orilem.

Game saves and iCloud
The game keeps campaign progress, level results, workshop projects, game balances, tools, visual preferences and settings on your device. Local installation and purchase-delivery records help maintain the save and prevent a purchase from being credited more than once. Core gameplay does not require a BARNEUM account.
When iCloud is available, the game can automatically synchronize a progress snapshot through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database. That snapshot includes progress, game balances and purchase-delivery history needed to preserve your game. It is not sent to a BARNEUM gameplay server. Apple handles the associated iCloud service and account information.
You can stop automatic synchronization from the game's iCloud settings. Disconnecting stops further synchronization; it does not delete a previously stored iCloud save. Reinstalling the game or using another device may make an existing cloud save available again.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. The game processes product and transaction information to verify purchases, deliver items and handle store updates. Purchase-delivery records are kept with your game save and may be included in its private iCloud snapshot. BARNEUM does not receive your payment-card details through this purchase flow.
Apple maintains its own purchase records. Removing the game or a game save does not erase Apple's records or request a refund. Purchase and refund requests remain subject to Apple's store processes.
Diagnostics and support
The game maintains a bounded diagnostic journal on the device, with up to 48 issue groups and a seven-day retention window. It records categories, counts, app version and technical fingerprints rather than raw exception text, player identifiers, receipts or the contents of your save. It is not automatically submitted as a support ticket.
Help can prepare a diagnostic report and local reference code. Copying the report is an explicit action and does not send it to BARNEUM. If you choose to email support, we receive the information you include and the email address used to contact us, so we can respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or payment details.
Analytics and other services
The current iPhone and iPad game does not enable BARNEUM's gameplay backend, Firebase gameplay analytics or advertising services. Local diagnostic counters are separate from uploaded analytics. The game does not use Cue's or Orilem's AI-processing features and does not send gameplay content to their AI provider.
Core gameplay does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location or health data. The game has no player chat. Apple may separately process store, iCloud and platform diagnostic information under its own settings and policies. See Apple Privacy.
Storage and your choices
Device saves and recovery copies are kept to maintain your progress. Deleting the app removes its local app storage, but separately maintained device backups, iCloud saves and Apple's purchase history may remain. Before removing data, consider whether it is your only copy of progress or unspent purchased items.
Manage stored iCloud data through your Apple account and iCloud settings. Disconnecting synchronization inside the game does not remove the existing cloud record. The local diagnostic journal uses the retention window described above.
For questions about information you have provided directly to BARNEUM, or requests for access, correction or deletion, contact info@barneum.com. Identify Code & Chaos in your request without including private payment information.
We may update this section when the game's data handling changes. The date above identifies this policy version. Related terms are available at BARNEUM Terms of Use.
